"The reception staff were wonderful - nothing was too much trouble. I left my phone charger at home and they lent me one for the weekend. The room was a single and clean, although the decor was dated (the description did say it was a Victorian building). I had breakfast both mornings at The Galley Restaurant which was an all you can eat. The food was hot and fresh and had everything you would expect for a buffet restaurant. "The hotel has recently had a renovation and oh my what a result. The room we had was a cosy sea view room. It had everything we needed and more. It was 27C the day we stayed so the air-con was very welcomed indeed! I highly recommend this hotel. "

"It was cheap - you get what you pay for. Shared bathroom and kitchen, which was expected based on price and photos, but not clear in details and another guest hadn’t assumed this and caused a big scene on check in. Wasn’t dirty, but could have been cleaner. Beds were comfy, but sheets smelt damp. Air con didn’t work in our room or another room that was empty. Free parking. Walking distance of the town centre which has takeaways. Kinda average stage. But cheapest around"
"Parking space unavailable for whole stay, property mostly clean but some sofa cushions stained, mattress old and saggy. Main issue was noise from upstairs flat. Tv far too loud plus music, sounded like a herd of hobnailed elephants were marching across every time someone moved!"
