"We had the room for only 1 night, arrived late and needed to leave the next morning early. The morning of checkout we realized the shower did not work. The shower did not have a drain plug. Also the iron stand was falling off the wall. For the price we paid, this was especially disappointing. We did not have type to correct the issue with the shower and had to leave. Very sub par compared to the Hyatt regency we stayed at the 2 nights previously"

"We loved the Arlo's location—it was perfect for exploring Manhattan, from Midtown and the Upper East Side to SoHo. The hotel has a great vibe, and we especially appreciated the well-equipped gym, which made it easy to keep up with our workout routine while traveling. During our six-day stay, we had breakfast at the hotel once but weren't particularly impressed. That said, the staff was consistently friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our visit. The bar and adjacent coffee shop were both excellent and incredibly convenient. While we wished the rooms were a bit more spacious, the overall experience was very positive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return."

"The hotel and rooms are old. It's noisy outside. There were workers doing maintenance, which wasn't a great experience. Even though the guy gave us a better room, it still wasn't clean or modern enough. The New Yorker Hotel has a good reputation, and I hope they take better care of it in the future."

"The hotel was overall a pleasant place to stay. The location was great, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. The food was also good and enjoyable. However, the room was disappointing. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable and felt very worn out and sagging in the middle, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The pillows were also uncomfortable. In addition, the bathroom was surprisingly small, to the point of being quite impractical. While the service and location were definite positives, the comfort of the room needs significant improvement."
