"The Crossways is an updated building. Regrettably there is no lift and a narrow staircase which makes taking heavy cases upstairs difficult. We had a problem with our room but what makes me give this hotel a 5 star rating was their service recovery was brilliant. The team are very friendly and my Venison Pie for dinner was excellent. "We loved our stay here. Stylish, spacious and comfortable room with a modern bathroom. The pub and rooms had been recently refurbished with great care. We stayed in room 8 which backed out onto the courtyard behind the pub and had velux windows which you could watch the stars through. Despite being part of a pub, we found our room to be very quiet after 9pm. Breakfast was fantastic, the veggie option was delicious and the ingredients felt very high quality.
