It is an old, charming inn with winding stairs and hallways. The room was very nice sized, the bed comfortable, had good light, and a modernized attached bath. Do not compare it to a modern luxury hotel. The breakfast was great and the restaurant had great food for dinner. Location perfect-right across from the lake and easy walk into town. All the staff were so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Loved it!
This is a beautiful place to stay. Travelers can enjoy stepping back in time. Our room was spotless, bar was fun , restaurant on the property is so convenient after a long day of exploring. We found the breakfast to have character and enjoyed trying the homemade delicious food. The baking smells were awesome. Only downside was our mattress.
This B&B is a hidden gem! We loved the haunted room #12. Loved the pool table, restaurant (good for gluten-free also!) and the location - across from a beautiful swimmable lake and park. It was priced well and the Scottish ambiance and history could not be beat!!
If you love Scotland or want to get a feeling of being in Scotland, The Brae Loch Inn is a good choice. My husband and I have had the pleasure of vacationing in Scotland. The Brae Loch brought back all the memories. We enjoyed dinner and highly recommend the Steak and Ale Pie. Yum! Also, the village of Cazenovia made for a lovely stroll in the afternoon, We will be back.
Very clean room staff went above n beyond to help with any needs the continental breakfast absolutely delicious as well as the dinner we had the night before !
Very friendly staff . Atmosphere very calm n quiet n peaceful in there ! Highly recommend the Brae Loch Inn
The Brae Loch is a unique place to stay in. Their rooms have old world charm but are very up to date. The room was very comfortable. The whole place has a very welcoming atmosphere. The included breakfast has a nice variety of choices. The dinners are excellent and tasty.
A relaxing, wonderful place to be. The wait staff is friendly and attentive, food was quickly served and delicious! Love this place. Thank you all for making it that much more special!
Great Bed and Breakfast experience, room was clean, we ate dinner on the patio and enjoyed breakfast.

Historical building with lots of character, lobby fireplace was warming on a rainy day. The first floor lobby and dining rooms are very dark, great atmosphere but bring a little flashlight.
Met a lot of nice people during our stay.
The welcoming scotch was fantastic.
We heard the breakfast was minimal. It was not, filled with all kinds of homemade apple strudel, mushroom quiche, chocolate pastries, many other delicious sweet muffins, etc.
Whether a person has had an opportunity to travel to Scotland or not, visiting the Brae Lock Inn will provide a glimpse into that country very well!
Old world furniture, plaid rugs, Scottie dog ornaments and bag pipes over the fireplace add so much charm to this quaint Inn.
All staff are warm, welcoming and efficient. Our bedroom was nice and clean , an added touch was chocolate mints laid strategically throughout the room! The four poster canopy bed seemed right at home as if in a Scottish castle! Our dining experience was wonderful too - great food and ambiance. Included in our stay was a beautifully prepared breakfast of pastries that seemed to be prepared on site. Blueberry scones, breakfast pizza, apple strudel & blueberry coffee cake to name just a few items! All delicious, with a lovely presentation near the fireplace.
Located directly across the street from a beautiful park with a pristine lake, a great setting to take a mini vacation or a longer one! As an added bonus, it is pet friendly & we made friends with several four legged guests as well as the two legged ones!
The Brae Loch Inn is a charming, rather eccentric, Inn with a great restaurant and a bar with a terrific selection of single malt whiskeys. The Inn was built in 1910 and is rather labyrinthine. There is no elevator, so people with mobility problems should be aware of that.
The staff was friendly and helpful, the continental breakfast very good and the restaurant excellent. We were there on the weekend and the live music was excellent as well.
Highly recommend the Brae Loch!
It was unique - you're not staying at a chain. The bed was very comfortable, the wi-fi was fast and dependable and dining options were varied and excellent. and being located right across the street from the lake and ark was great!
This historic Inn was decorated beautifully for the season & our room, Mary Queen of Scott's room#12, was tastefully decorared with an antique canopy bed & period pieces. Our room looked over the courtyard and lake. From the signature drink selection to the appetizer and dinner, portions were beyond expectations with reasonable prices. Waking to peaceful falling snow while drinking our morning coffee was a added bonus. If you want the charm of yesteryears with the conveniences of today found in a quaint village getting, the Brae Loch Inn is your place!
Wonderful old school inn.. very comfortable feeling. Room was very clean with an updated bathroom.. had cocktails in the pub.. what a great place to unwind.. had dinner in the dining room.. excellent prime rib, best I’ve had in a long time. We will definitely be back.

Where do I start. I will start with check in, which was very confusing and not intuitive. I had to go upstairs and walk around a little and ask. I ended up checking in with Hank, WHO WAS AWESOME!!!! He said I was in room 12 and that it is their haunted room. Excuse me, what?! I was freaked! I had no idea this Inn was haunted! I went to the room and the smell was absolutely awful. It was a musky scent and I sneezed and sneezed and sneezed. I didn’t sleep a wink due not only being scared to death but also the scent and sneezing all night. My nose ran for hours. The scent is hideous. This Inn is old, like 1800’s old so the floors creek and the heat system is very loud. I unfortunately did not enjoy my stay here AT ALL and left first thing in the morning. If you want to hang out with ghosts, perhaps this is for you. I will say though that the bed was incredibly comfortable!!! Other than that, I wish I never wasted my money coming here.

Staff very nice, dinner and breakfast were good. Room was nice but toilet did not flush properly had to flush it multiple times for it to actually go down and the absolutely aweful air conditioner!!! Wall unit that made terribly loud noise every time it shut off . Kept my daughter awake all night! And at check out the office was closed, so we couldnt tell anyone ! No ice machine or ice on property. Would not recommend if you’re used to chain hotels with amenities and 24 hour staff to assist!
