Very clean room and a very comfy bed too.
Beautiful place. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Easy walking distance into the village.
We had our evening meal there, which was really excellent!
We would definitely stay again, if in the area and would recommend it to others.
Very accommodating staff, room was changed at check in after discovering there was no bath in allocated room.
Room was spotless, lovely toiletries and very quiet (for the first night anyway)
Good selection for breakfast

everything was brilliant start to finish ,staff being courteous and helpful and the food bar manager was absolutely amazing polite helpful and too the stick from my son calm all way through our stay 😀
The staff were amazing. Everyone we encountered was polite and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. And the breakfast was top notch.
Special thanks to Graeme for somehow pronouncing my last name correct and going above and beyond.
Staff are excellent and could not be more helpful. The hotel and room were very clean. Beds are comfortable.
We had fish and chips which was ok, but when we saw someone getting the beef we wish we had chosen that. Would definitely recommend. George and Graeme were the standouts but everyone were lovely.
Great hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bar and restaurant are lovely. Great location and grounds.

One thing lead to much being not enjoyable. A weary reception staff person blase attitude. Room we specified had been smoked in - both recent and old stink in carpet. Substitute rm tiny w/ one window - not the mtn view. No consideration for reduction. Tomato/basil soup was canned juice w/ maybe lemon squeeze added. Grateful for tasty sauce on over-baked fish. Bright spot light shining in our window/had to get dressed to ask when it would be off? No hot water in AM when desk knew boiler out the night before. A warning note under the door would have saved that grief. Dog barking in next rm, but all because a not proactive employee.
What a wonderful atmospheric, historic hotel kept in very good condition and a reminder of the olden day times. Room was spacious, warm and clean and the hotel lounge bar was beautiful to have a drink and relax.
Hot showers, comfortable beds, spacious room with view. Full Scottish buffet breakfast, dinner was really good with lots of options.we will go back we enjoyed the atmosphere and how beautiful the hotel is, be a good wedding venue too.
The only thing we could fault was the lack of bar staff on Saturday evening. My partner waited twenty minutes to be served— only one person trying to serve about twenty customers. The staff members we came into contact with during the rest of our stay were excellent.

Hard to beat
There is no getting away from the fact that the rooms are old but the staff are excellent, the food is good and the price incredibly reasonable
It's been a while since I stayed at this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised to find the room facilities ( e.g. bathroom and also the TV's) have been upgraded. Much better now!
Friendly staff, efficient check in and good breakfast. Very happy to stay here again when passing through.
Strathpeffer and the surrounding area are a good alternative to Inverness where hotel prices have just become silly.
