"This hotel was an excellent place to stay staff very polite and helpful, rooms spacious and very comfortable, breakfast was excellent but was very busy at 9am on Sunday morning so we had to wait for the food to be replenished. Plenty of parking on site, very competitive prices on the drinks."

"Staff so friendly and helpful. Found room quite warm in the day but in evening was able to open windows fully to get some air in (stayed in April). I imagine would be very hot in summer even with fan provided in room. Walls are very thin, not a problem for me as thankfully my neighbours were quiet but I know other people were not so lucky. Was able to do me a vegan breakfast in the morning which I was happy with. I would stay again if I was in the area and needed a good value place to stay. "

The garden has a knockout location right on the river and some rooms also have this gorgeous view, including the huge bathroom with freestanding tub. There are however a lot of stairs. "Nice place and very close to the centre of Chester. Parking has to be reserved separately but no big deal as very large public car park almost next door: ~£8 for 24-hours."
