We had a wonderful stay. We extended our visit by one day. Our room was already booked, but they made the transition to a new room smoother than we could’ve hoped for. the staff was wonderful. We look forward to going back again and staying there.

The view is excellent and the beds were very comfortable. The room unfortunately smelled like someone smoked in there and it was attempted to be covered up with scented things. Bathroom fan did not work. Heavy equipment was working right next to the room but thankfully not on the weekend. The pool was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped.

We loved our stay at the River Hotel! We’ve stayed a lot of places in Southport, and this was hands down the best. Housekeeping staff was wonderful and so sweet, the room was great, and having the pool and beachfront access was ideal! Easy walk or golf cart ride to downtown for shopping, restaurants, etc. Just down the road from Deep Point Marina and the ferries too!

The room was clean and comfortable except the bed, just way too soft for us. The balcony had a beautiful view of the river. The pool area nice and clean, we will stay again. The hotel was in a good location, close to everything that we wanted to do while there.

Property was easy to access, Property maintenance could be better such as keeping the vegetation trimed to enhance views of the river from balconies . Carpet in my room needs cleaning. That said the Property was quite, outside areas had plenty of seating to view the pool and river, the fishing pier was a plus. I would stay there again.

great place to vacation and the location was perfect for Ferry portal to visit BHI. Downtown was walking distance. Parking was great, especially under the facility for loading and unloading luggage. Everything was so clean and staff was super friendly. Enjoyed our stay!

The room was so clean & spacious! Lots of light from windows & patio that we sat on at night! The room had a seating area & mini kitchen with sink, big refrigerator & microwave. The pool area was nice & even had a private small beach area with dock out to inlet. The hotel is conveniently located close to town. We highly recommend & will go again!
