"Room was much bigger than expected (possibly an upgrade) and seemed to have been recently renovated. Spotlessly clean and comfortable bed. Breakfast was included although my invoice stated room only. Apparently all rooms here include breakfast which was very good. Highlight really was the friendliness of staff which is probably because it’s an independent property and they genuinely want to make guests feel welcome. "

"Very spacious and clean single room. Equipped with fridge and a fan which were both very welcome on the extremely warm conditions. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is undergoing full refurbishment by dedicated owners. Extremely good value for money also."

"Ideal location for visiting Southampton, there are some nice pubs only a short drive away. The breakfast was good lots to choose from. I stayed in the quadruple room on the top floor. It was big, spacious but a bit hot so we had four fans running. Very good overall"

The staff were all friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the free parking permit was a really useful bonus. The hotel overall felt well looked after and in a great condition. "Out bed was slopped to the centre. I couldn’t breathe because of the dirty carpets. Ugg. I didn’t sleep a wink. We were out in the middle of the night with the rest of guests. Someone was smoking in a room and set off smoke alarms. The fire truck came and we were able to go back in to the bed where I rolled into my husband. So sad because our stay in London Westminster was exceptional."

"Rooms were spacious, modern and clean. We didn’t use the spa due to only staying one night and the extra charge as booked through Expedia but if book direct, it’s included. Breakfast was £16.95 and worth it. Great choice. Lovely outdoor seating area. Beds comfy. Bathrooms good. Quiet location. All was good."
