I love this hotel because of location. There is a mamak stall near to hotel and walking distance to Bugis Street, Hajah Maimunah Restaurant etc. Please make sure the room is always clean before providing to guest.

Weekend trip

J8 hotel is in a convenient area next to lots of smaller shops (little India and Arab street) so it is good for halal food. The staff are accommodating and allowed us to have an earlier check in which was very convenient. We had a twin size room which was just as pictured, the bed was comfy and everything was clean. Our only complaint is that there was a musky/sweat smell from the room and corridor - but we know it was extremely hot and humid in Singapore so we do not blame the hotel, as soon as the AC was switched on this was fixed.

I loved the small attached restaurant . My room was very, very small and I would rate the comfort of the bed a 3/10. I did not sleep well and that just makes you more tired. The staff barely acknowledges you which I find odd since Singaporeans are so darn friendly. The bathroom was great and having a balcony was great. Where was the pool?

The location was decent — Little India has a great vibe and plenty of energy. However, some of the hotel staff were quite unhelpful, and the room setup was disappointing. The Deluxe Silver room I booked I was expected to be compact, but I didn’t anticipate a combined shower and toilet, with the shower head directly above the toilet in such a tiny space. On top of that, the hotel didn’t respond to any of my messages prior to arrival.
