I like the fact it was an old coaching Inn … on booking I was not advised or asked if a room up a lot of steep stairs at the very top of the building would work for me…. I am 75 and it was hard work! "The hotel in general was very good. Just personally, we had a few issues Our main issue is that the hotel. It's so big with long hallways and lots of steps, considering we have a child in a Pram and lots of luggage it was so exhausting to carry everything from the car park to walk across to the hotel. And then find your room. Its hell of a long walk with steps. When we arrived, they gave us a room on the top floor with loads of steps, and the windows barely opened. So we complained and changed...

"So much better than I expected. The bar area, restaurant and huddle areas were all so beautifully done and the food and drink lprices were very reasonable. Plenty of electric car charging available. All staff we encountered were helpful, polite and friendly. Rooms very comfortable and modern. Will definitely book again next time we stay in Loughborough."

"Stayed here for one night and we weren’t disappointed. We stayed in a superior double room which was a lovely large room, extremely comfortable, very clean, and had a lovely view. The room didn’t have air conditioning so got very warm due to the recent heatwave but there was a fan so it was ok and was beyond the hotel’s control. "Fantastic stay. Lovely room. Free parking and £10 for our dog to stay ( 2 night stay) food was lovely and we could take our dog with us. The staff were fab made a fuss over our dog and nothing was too much trouble for us or her. Opposite, there is a field that you can take your dog for a walk. Thank you for a lovely stay. We will definitely be back. "
