"This was our third time staying here and we love it. The proximity to the ballparks is absolutely the reason why we chose this property to begin with. It's very easy to walk to and from the games. We also love that it is practically Waterfront and can choose to upgrade to ensure we get a waterfront view. To add to the list of things that we love, we absolutely love the fact that there is a bar in the hotel for that after-the-game nightcap. The rooms are fun, bedding is great and clean. Staff has always been top-notch. We will be staying here for years to come."

"Lovely hotel in a very well restored, historic building. We had a nice-sized and well-appointed room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lots of food, drinking, culture and sightseeing within a short walk. A Link station is located across the street and 3rd Avenue serves as a bus mall, so access to transit is very convenient. The immediate neighborhood is a bit sketchy, especially late at night. We saw people on the sidewalk smoking and injecting drugs."

"Reasons for all the stars: It's a charming, old, pre-war hotel with lots of period features, so this was welcome, and I always greatly value an excellent room service menu from an onsite restaurant, which this place surely has. Downsides: The place could use a face lift, especially in the rooms, which are a bit musty and carpets rather worn, and it could also more front desk help to lessen check-in wait times. That said, I found the place charming and was very pleased with the two wonderful late-evening room-service dinners I had. For me, that's always a relief."
