"Well, if you want the cool, up-scale, mid-century, Rat Pack, vibes of a great hotel, the Hotel Valley Hotel in Scottsdale is the BEST. Built in 1956 and very well maintained, this hotel has everything from a pool, a couple of hot tubs, lots of surrounding lounge chairs, cool restaurant and bar and is located in the very center and heart of Scottsdale shopping/museum/city park area, so you can walk everywhere. The hotel grounds are planted with beautiful flowering dessert plants and trees that bloom year round so hummingbirds are buzzing all around. Guest check-in at front desk is efficient and friendly. Every hotel room has an individual room outdoor patio with patio furniture, so you can enjoy the Arizona outdoors and watch the pool area. The bathroom amenities are wonderful - Moon Flower. I had a really fun time here and I recommend it highly. I will return and I will stay at the Hotel Valley Ho."

"Hilton Club Vacations Villa Mirage is a decent time share property--and that's the problem. They nickel and dimed us on several issues: "parking fees" (added only 2 months ago to) "resort fees". They stuck us in a corner unit next to the ice machine when better situated units were available. We weren't allowed to use our 98,000 Hilton Honors credit card points because..we booked through a different service. To be fair when the front desk saw our initial rating they asked what could be done to make things right, such as offering to switch our unit. We had already unpacked so we declined. Eventually they gave us a $25.00 dining credit ( whopee!!) which covered half the cost of breakfast. The one bedroom unit was adequate."
