"The included buffet was delicious and convenient (they will rotate their protein each day: bacon, sausage, ham). They do have the option to check in and out using their online service which they email 24 hours before you check in or out. In person check in process easy, there is a $200 refundable deposit. If you are on the first floor you might hear the floor noise above if they are rolling their luggage or pulling a chair out. Other than that it is quiet."

"Not a long walk to downtown (although I am an avid walker). The hotel isn’t modern by any means but the staff have always been kind, attentive and professional. The rooms are clean and everything works. Wifi is good. There’s no view and some traffic noise, but it is convenient to arrive at from the ferry—for those wanting a downtown Victoria experience. "

Noise due to street traffic and location but to be expected when so close to tourist areas and China town. We were not concerned about the noise as we wanted to be walkable to attractions and dining in Victoria without a rental car. Very easy to get around downtown Victoria."

"Amazing location, close to everything and walkable. Lots of old world charm and very nice staff. Don't book this place if you don't want to adhere to their dress code -- they make it very clear, and it's part of the charm. The breakfasts and dinner we had at the restaurant were even better than expected. Some of the rooms have been redone, and so have not, so there is a variety of quality there.
