La Concha Resort, Puerto Rico, Autograph Collection
8/10 Good
"While the hotel itself has potential, there were several aspects of our stay that made it difficult to fully enjoy the experience. The loud music by the pool carried heavily into the rooms, making it nearly impossible to relax or take an afternoon nap, and it continued well into the late evening. On top of that, the street noise outside was extremely loud throughout the stay.
We also found the resort to be less kid-friendly which would be hard if traveling with children. In addition, parts of the resort and casino being open to the public seemed to attract some undesirable crowds at times, which took away from the overall atmosphere and sense of comfort we were expecting.
The shower head in our room had almost no water pressure, which was surprisingly disappointing for a resort of this caliber.
Lastly, while we anticipated premium pricing for food and drinks, charging over $30 for a single martini felt excessive and unreasonable. Overall, the stay did not quite match the level of comfort and value we were hoping for a honeymoon."
