"The hotel claims to be on the beach, that is incorrect. There is a boat docking area in the front of the property that is not suitable for swimming. Nettle Bay Beach across the street, not suitable for swimming either, the waters are rough, lots of rocks and seaweed. There was no one on that beach when I visited. The closest beach is Baie Rouge, a 3 minute $10 taxi ride away or a 17 minute walk.

"The private cabin feel was excellent, clean and private. The beach was 5 min walk away. Breakfast is not "American" style but very good. The hotel is not in the middle of town, you do need a car but having a car is an extra adventure, worth it.
