"We really enjoyed our stay at The Lakes by Yoo. Everything was clean and well designed and the pool and spa facilities were good. Most importantly the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. There was a minor issue with our original room so they kindly upgraded us to a suite for our final night, which we weren't able to stay in as we had to leave due to a family emergency, but the gesture was greatly appreciated. We hope to visit again in the future! "

"From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive and friendly, after a 3 and half hour journey we had a lovely roast dinner and a beer which went down very well. We were then shown our room which was perfect, and matched the quaint pub, the bed was comfortable. tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, & water readily available, en-suite with shower and t.v. Breakfast was lovely all fresh and local produce. Final evening we had a lovely meal which coincided with my husbands birthday, the dessert came out...

"Staff were incredible and helpful for all our requests including local landmarks, the room was very clean. My only feedback would be there there seemed to be a certain ventilator fan hum throughout the night ; we got used to that but the establishment might want to check that - Thanks for a lovely stay!"

"Lovely B&B, we really enjoyed staying over in Bibury… a very quiet little parish - but nice to be able to spend the day & enjoy both of the pubs. The B&B was ideal, much cheaper than staying at the Swan & only a few minutes walk into the ‘town’. Yes it was a little noisy, as has been mentioned before, but not really anymore than staying in a hotel I’d imagine + earplugs are provided if upstairs are too noisy for you! "Could be outstanding but the kitchen lets them down. The location, hotel and staff are wonderful but the food is where the shine falls off. Decent menu but most of the food was bland, lacking taste or overly greasy (fish). Breakfast was wrong both mornings (even with simple request), kitchen needs to read the orders properly.. At the two dinners, both night people on tables around us were commenting on their food.. (which is such a shame for a lovely hotel..."

"Das Hotel liegt mitten im Grünen und bei der Anfahrt über das Grundstück freut man sich schon auf die typisch britische, alte Hausanlage. Im Inneren des Hotels geht der äußere Flair leider etwas verloren, eher so 80er Jahre Style. "For an overnight stay on a budget, this was fantastic. The bed was comfy, decent pillows and duvet, the sheets and towels were lovely and clean and I really liked the brand of toiletries. The hotel/pub is really big and could do with some updating, but this would needs huge investment, so I'm not surprised at overall condition, but it's functional, clean and tidy. "First, you can't check in till 5pm. Second, the shower is small and slippery when wet. When I mentioned that I'd nearly fallen twice and it needed a non-slip mat, I was told can't be done as this would be an admission that there is a problem. Plus, the light in the bathroom is on a motion sensor timer and kept cutting out leaving me in the shower, in the dark. "The consistency of room service standard was not there. One day my room was cleaned well, i had 4 bottles of water i had 4 biscuits for each of us staying in the room. The next day i had no bottles of water, no biscuits, the two extra beds were not made. I was very disappointed upon entering our room after a long day out. "
