"This is a period property with a lot of lovely features in the centre of Rye. However, it is letdown by a very slow service at breakfast. Breakfast is chaotic, with one very small table with yoghurt, granola some fruit and orange juice. Both mornings of our stay it was running very low and out of a number of things. Both mornings, I had to go and find staff to stock the table up and provide glasses for the orange juice. Staff are either inadequately trained or just not copying well.

"The room was lovely, the en suite was lovely, the fact that it was up two flights of stairs, not so good . My fault for not mentioning I don’t climb stairs well."
"Dette svarer ikke til annoncering. Hyggeligt gammelt hus midt i Rye. Bar og reception er lukket bortset fra søndag formiddag, man må ikke anvende den terrasse de annoncerer, morgen mad indtages i en lille isbar, og ikke på terrassen (bortset fra søndag). Dette er blot et værelse man lejer, det er ikke et reelt hotel. Man kan ringe til et nummer hvis der mangler noget. Vi kom ikke igennem og måtte selv skaffe toiletpapir. De få gange vi mødte personale var de venlige.

"Our room had a very ugly view over the bins and kitchen extractor fans. This created a loud hum until around 10pm and also brought some cooking smells into the room. The walls are also very thin and we could hear the room next door very clearly.
However, after midnight the noise died down and it was quiet.
The hotel is in a nice, very rural location."
