"Very old property with character but in need of care and attention. Kept as clean as possible within the scope of its age. Staff friendly enough. Fabulous location with excellent views of the sea and pier. With rear entrance from the carpark.

"Lovely hotel near beach but air con was not switched on when arriving on very hot day, so room was very hot and took a while to cool it down, also air conditioning was too cold in living room but not cold enough in bedroom. Breakfast was good with just a little extra charge for Eggs Royale which was fine. Lovely views from room of beachfront"
"The hotel was a really nice place to stay. We were in Eastbourne for the tennis and it was close to that and we had a beautiful view of the seafront. The room was quite spacious and the breakfast was very nice. We also visited the cafe for dinner one night and used the gym. Had a really enjoyable stay here and would recommend."
"Not a criticism because the hotel is 600 years old so limitations in terms of interior build but would be great to have a proper walk in shower in en suite. Not everyone can step into a bath for a shower"
