"we wanted somewhere for an overnight stay after flying back from Greece to Manchester before driving back to the north east. "What a gem of a place! Beautiful original pub building. Bedroom was spacious and clean. We had a room with a double and a single bed. The double was a bit too hard for us, but the room has everything you need, so can't complain. Breakfast was really impressive and everything was cooked to perfection. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We feel like we've found a gem and will definitely use again when we've got a gig in Manchester."

"Stayed here in February. Check-in was quiet, staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was number 5 and was beautiful with modern equipment. It nice and warm in our room throughout our stay. No need to go out, just get parked and have your evening meal in the pub/restaurant, I can recommend the fish & chips. "Wonderful overnight stay with our springer spaniel . Lovely clean and spacious dog friendly room in the Annex with a fabulous view . Set in wonderful grounds with lovely outdoor areas and enjoyed a great circular walk down to the river. All staff were so friendly and the steak for the evening meal was cooked perfectly as was the very generous breakfast . Definitely be back"
