"The location of this hotel is absolutely amazing. The Crosby beach is only a 10 minute walk and the main street of Waterloo is just 5 minutes away with bars and restaurants a plenty. The Royal Hotel is a lovely place to stay with a restaurant on site. The staff are excellent and very helpful. The rooms are clean and have enough space. You have tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a fan to cool you down on hot days as there is no aircon. Rooms are set on 2 floors but there is no lift...

"Perfectly for the price. Good location, free car parking and comfortable clean rooms. Above all though, service was excellent. One employee, sorry...didn't catch her name, but she was a blonde lady who did both frontdesk and cleaning of rooms, really went the extra mile for me, sorting an iron at short notice, when all of them had been lent out. She's a real asset. "
"We had a great time in Liverpool and stayed in a lovely little hotel. We were upgraded to a family suite and it had air conditioning. The room was very big and clean. "
"We loved our stay here. Lyndsay was very responsive and personable. We had the double with the en-suite bathroom. It was clean and the bed comfortable. The snacks were a great touch. We traveled from the US for the Liverpool/Spurs match that sealed LFC as the Premier League champions! There were celebration spots close by and it was wonderful that the Liverpool players’ bus passes close to the home on Anfield Road. We were right in the middle of everything. Loved it. Go LFC!!!❤️"
"Lovely big twin room. Bedding clean, crisp and white. Comfy beds. Could have done with small fridge in room . Nice quiet bar area and prices reasonable for hotel."
"Fantastic service; all staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Rather hot at times; would be better if window could be opened more and extractor fan would help in bathroom. Breakfast was very good. Free parking is a bonus. "
"Very welcoming and convenient. Very comfortable bed and lovely and quiet, considering where it is.
There is only one minor disadvantage and that is that I don’t feel their dining room is not big enough to accommodate everyone for breakfast. People were waiting, plates ran out, etc. The layout could do with some thought - the food was excellent, however, and the staff welcoming and polite. "
