"The Haycock is a wonderful hotel. The shower in the room was unbelievable - talk about a powerful shower - fab! Food and service were all great and the decor is quality. Only slight niggle was the early check in policy to be charged £30 just to drop a bag in my room - I didn't bother."
"We had a fantastic stay at The Barnsdale, such a beautiful, relaxing and picturesque venue. We enjoyed use of the spa, which is beautifully done, small and intimate. Evening meal in the Brasserie was delicious with fabulous service and breakfast was just as delicious, with lots of choice and was well organised.
All staff were very polite and helpful, especially the lovely lady on reception. The welcome glass of wine on arrival was such a lovely touch.
Only disappointment was that the king size bed was in fact two single mattresses pushed together, also the window wouldn’t open and so the room was quite warm. All that said, the room was clean, cosy and so beautifully decorated
Overall though, our stay was so beautiful, and so so relaxing! Thanks so much for having us"
"The buffet breakfast has changed. Now you have to order to a rationed amount. I asked for 4 rashers of bacon as I dont like the sausages. I was told I could only have a maximum of 3. Am I being unreasonable as I only have generally 1 egg and 4 bacon, no cerals or anything else?"
"First time stayed here, and could not fault a thing. (One or two little.niggles but nothing to complain about). Staff were helpful and all very friendly. Room was (as requested) a twin accessible room as mum.needs one these days.- and quiet. Meals were either in restaurant or bar area.Plenty of parking too, including disabled.bays. Overall, would stay here again if in Peterborough."
