"Basically I'd booked a double room and when checking in, was told there was only twin rooms available. Had I been told this before the cancellation window closed I would have cancelled and booked elsewhere. I had no choice but to accept the room otherwise I'd lose my money, which is hardly fair. I slept far worse in a single bed than I would have done in a double."

"The receptionist was so helpful and kind to respond to my query about the hairdryer and came promptly to my room to help me find it and was very gracious when I realised it had been there the whole time in a black bag on the hanger and I totally missed that! The room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable and I had the best shower. The breakfast was great with a wide selection of food and hot drinks. It was in a good location for the conference I attended at the St Thomas centre next to the cathedral. "

"This property is exceptional. Great location and fantastic atmosphere and a great mix of modern amenities mixed with a traditional building appearance. The breakfast was superb and the room comfort was exceptional but beyond all that the thing that makes this place one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at is the staff. All incredibly helpful but beyond that personable and able to converse or have a brief joke while still carrying out their work incredibly efficiently. You’ll not be disappointed by a stay here and I would highly recommend it."

"Room was clean and as needed. I did unfortunately not have towels in my room but went to reception and requested some, the lovely reception lady delivered them to my door. My main complaint is with the breakfast. When I went to breakfast, I was informed it was a 20 minute wait for breakfast. I requested a bacon or sausage sandwich to go as I only had 10 minutes. I was told everything is cooked fresh and even a to go sandwich will take 20 minutes. I was offered a bag to take some pastries which I did but left a little disappointed at paying for just some pastries. I did also request some oat milk for my to go coffee and again, informed they only had soya. I understand they had the option for a milk alternative but only having the option of cows milk or an allergen option wasn’t ideal when I can not drink soya. I felt the value was a bit rubbish considering I left with some pastries and a yogurt. I travel for work and stay in hotels several nights a week and haven’t incurred this issue elsewhere so don’t think I was being demanding. If you’re staying for work as I was and just want an express breakfast, I would advise to not bother paying for breakfast. Overall, it was okay, nothing fancy but breakfast left me a little empty! "

"Great secure parking. Staff were friendly abd room was spotless. Good selection of tea / coffee / biscuits. Window a little worse for wear! But had a good nights sleep. Brekafast was good but the granola was all stuck together in one lump in the container and some products slow to be replenished. All in all Good value for the money it must be said."
