"A small room but a great location. Bed was comfortable and A/C worked well. A little noisy, since the rooms are close to each other. Can be a bit of a challenge to find the room we were staying in. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful and the room was clean."

Minor complaints: giant chess game needs maintenance, one of the umbrellas in the pool was broken and it took a while until someone took it away (it felt and it could hurt someone). "There’s no place to park, unless you park a block away and then you would have to pay for parking. Not in a safe area to park. The area itself didn’t look safe."

"The property is very old and dingy. I found the rugs to be dirty and the bathroom was moldy around the tub and shower. The TV only worked partially continuing to go in and out. I requested to change rooms and they did accommodate me to a better room. More than likely it is my last time at the hotel, even though it is very close to where I want to be."

Upon arrival, there were no staff members at the front desk to assist with check-in, and we had to wait approximately 10 minutes before someone became available. The room itself was fairly decent; however, the following morning we discovered numerous ants crawling throughout the room, which was very concerning. "My husband and I stay here overnight. I have to say the customer service was excellent. The cleanliness of the room was perfect. The set up of the room was perfect. The ambience when you walk into the hotel is a good vibe the bed was so comfortable and the shower was awesome we had a great day the only thing missing was that there was no iron to iron your clothes and Parking was extremely hard other than that. I think we had an excellent day."

"Nasty odor. Rooms were dirty the floors were gross. Dirty bathroom with rust. Hallway was dark and smelt like smoke/ hella perfume to cover the smoke smell. Overpriced price where meadowlands is cheaper and way more upscale. Never in our life's had we have to switch hotels due to false advertisement. This place is disgusting and needs to be shut down. We want a refund . We did not stay here!!!"

"We were there for 1 night. Arrived at 9:30pm, checked in without issue. Upper parking lot is a little sketchy but it is well lit & we left in the morning without incident. The room was clean, sheets were very soft & the a/c was cold. Couldn't ask for anything more. There was a basic breakfast of cereal, bagels, & assorted mini-muffins & mini-donuts with coffee & juice. Staff was very friendly. It was a perfect place to crash for the night."

"Although the hotel is a bit outdated, I was pleasantly surprised by how clean everything was. The rooms and common areas were well maintained and comfortable. What really stood out to me was the staff. Everyone was wonderful, especially the front desk check in team. They were friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience smooth and pleasant. Overall, I would definitely consider staying here again because of the cleanliness and excellent service."

"We used to regularly stay at this hotel over the years however this was our last stay. The hotel is aged and in need of updating. The bed was terribly uncomfortable. There was smoking in a nearby room each night. The a/c did not cool below 73 making it very uncomfortable to sleep. The price was higher than I would have preferred to pay for the condition of the hotel. Tenafly is a beautiful borough to visit. I highly recommend visiting the town but not this hotel."
