I had a good experience at Namu. The hotel looks new and very well maintained. The service is great all over and they do make you feel special. It is probably one of the nicest hotels in Puerto Viejo. Areas to improve: the pool needs more loungers as they get filled up very quickly; also some of the top floor master rooms are noisy, can hear everything the neighbours are doing and they need some work to seal the noise.

A great hotel just south of Puerto Viejo. Very good pool (with 2 large hot tubs). Direct accesss onto beautiful Caribbean beach. The restaurant was good although seemed quite quiet and therefore lacking some atmosphere- The only problem was that I had booked a ‘family bungalow’ by the pool thinking this would be great for a family of 4 with 2 teenage children, but these bungalows have 2 bedrooms with a single queen bed in each, and no flexibility to put in two single beds.
