"I had a nice room if slightly dated but nice bathroom and the sea view is very much worth it. I had a big window which opened onto the sea front but did let a few midgies in. Hotel is comfortable and nice location which is also mostly quiet at night and busy with walkers down the front during day with a very short walk to the beach "

"We just spent three nights at Hotel La Colina in Gijon, Spain. I have to say it’s been the highlight of our European trip. The location is secluded outside of town, but you can get into town in 10 minutes. We ate breakfast in the cafeteria every morning and the food and service were wonderful. The rooms were great, the views are fantastic, along with the hiking paths and best of all the staff were some of the friendliest people we’ve met on our trip. Highly recommended, and we will be back."

The + : surf lessons starting directly from the garage, with 1 or 2 instructors and a small group (almost like a private class), nice ambiance and place, free breakfast every morning, 2 surf classes a day available, yoga, etc. The - : no washing machine (but a drying rack), 15/20 mins away from the beach and the center"
