Hotel is in a great location with lovely views and is a walkable distance to the theatre. It's a bit tired in places but undergoing renovation and wiĺl be beautiful once finished. Breakfast was amazing with a great choice. Staff all really friendly and helpful, allowing us to drop off bags prior to check-in. Overall a great stay.

Pool is was good but changing rooms quite dated (communal male and female changing rooms, no separate cubicles, no privacy) Door to en-suite had a full length frosted glass window. Poor design, both because it lit up the room during the night, and because the toilet was directly in line with the head of the bed.

Breakfast was more accessible Spa and pool area was good and better wi fi than before. Lot better since been refurbished. Windows in room could have been cleaned but otherwise highly recommend for short stay about a week at most.

The hotel and staff were lovely from start to finish. Loved the pool, fantastic breakfast. The only negative was the shower and bath. The shower took ages to get warm, and the bath was not draining away the water. I did mention it to reception incase there was a blockage

Many rooms have been refurbished. Ours was okay, but needed work. The carpet was shabby with stains or burns - the curtain rod and part of the shower were held together with literal tape. The common areas were beautifully decorated and the pool was very nice. Beds were clean and very comfortable.

The hotel was adequate but does require some upgrading as looks a little tired. Beds were comfortable and rooms fairly quiet. I had intended to use the spa facilities however the pool and jacuzzi were directly visible from the bar with only a glass wall separating them so decided against it. The reception and bar seemed to be combined and it seemed a lot of the public areas were not being utilised so may be they are working on revamping the place Plenty choice available ar breakfast all self service but did feel a bit busy and cramped Overall it met our needs and was quiet and comfortable in a good location just off the main street

Great place to stay

Very warm welcome when we arrived. Room was very spacious and very clean. Few table and chairs outside which luckily we were able to use due to the nice weather. At night we sat in a lounge at the front of the hotel which was nice and quiet. Central location for the Heartland Festival. Lots of choice for breakfast. Didn't have time to use the pool but it did look nice.
