Great little treasure

This is a friendly efficient basic hotel set in beautiful surroundings- got great nights sleep each night of stay. No noise pollution and choice of to eat in or at the pub next door. Will be returning

Would stay again most definitely. The food was amazing, didnt expect it to b a good as it was. The staff were welcoming. Rooms where just as shown on the piks.

Great location

A nice hotel in a great location about 30 minutes walk from the city centre. A good clean, quiet room. One criticism, the buffet breakfast was poorly stocked and the cooked breakfast was cold.

Best hotel stay we ever experienced.

The Dragonfly Hotel staff were amazing and so helpful. We chose to stay there on our Wedding night, and booked a double room. On hearing it was our wedding night the hotel upgraded our room for us, and gave us a bottle of wine. The whole experience was perfect, breakfast would good, the room was fantastic with a lake view, and the cleanliness was exceptional. Thank you for making our stay magical.

Old world service!

It’s a basic style hotel with a lot of friendliness as standard. The rooms come with shower-Bath combination and the showers are fantastic! It’s secure, staff happy to help, great service that could put a 4 star to shame. A little worn in places but a nice place to stay

Great nights sleep

Best nights sleep we’ve had, lovely twin room staff very friendly and welcoming. Nice to have a bath as well as a shower. Could do with having plug sockets next to the beds so you are able to charge your phone.

Stay by nature

Great location- walkable to town. Lake to walk round in front of hotel. It’s friendly,comfortable and secure. Rooms a little basic compared to big chains but it’s got its own feel. Amazing showers in all rooms. Sit and watch the world go by from the lounge.

Away weekends

Nice small hotel by rowing lake; on edge of a county park. It’s basic but has all you need. Really secure. Showers are amazing! Definitely aimed at those who appreciate a quieter environment. If you want the full 4star stuff (gym, pool etc) go elsewhere. Highly recommended for friendlines.

First room we was given smelt of cigarette smoke this was quickly changed after noting this to reception. Rooms are very basic and the hotel could use some updating in hall areas. Food/breakfast was plentifully! We arrived late for breakfast but they quickly fixed up a full English breakfast and allowed us to access the continental breakfast area. Staff were beyond amazing! Parking was easy and it's a short walk from the city centre. Basic and convenient. Lovely walk around the hotel.

The place was warm and the view was fantastic. Mistakes were made by the hotel which concerned us for the security of our belongings but hopefully that mistake won't happen again. Breakfast was okay but not the best.
