To give you some insight into the situation I will take you back to March 2019 when we purchased the hotel: We have had the premises for just over 3 years, 2 of which have been blighted by COVID and now we have the cost of living and return of foreign travel to content with. So, I'm sure you'll understand its been a tough start and we would have liked to have done much more in updating rooms and public areas. However, you paid £44 per head (which would have been much less if you'd booked direct) including a full cooked breakfast. We believe we provide excellent value and do not suggest in anyway that we have high end accommodation. Just clean, comfortable rooms suitable for those pursuing adventures in the great outdoors. Your point on sustainability is duly noted but if you'd looked at the paper cups you would have seen that they're made from recycled paper and we receycle all our waste. In these COVID times we believe this is the best blend of sustainability and safety. We would give you the following feedback: 1. If you're truly worried about climatic issues please consider updating your vehicle. Ageing SUV's are not widely accepted as sustainable methods of transport. 2. Please consider booking direct. This ensures the highest level of income for hospitality businesses and ensures the most tax is paid into the UK economy. BR Murray
