"Stayed for 4 nights with my elderly mother before heading to Lisbon then Porto. We couldn’t be happier with every aspect of this resort. "The location in old town was excellent as was the amazing sea view. The staff was lovely and helpful.
Unfortunately, the bed had a top sheet and no blanket/duvet. There were comforters in a closet but we had no idea if they were previously used so did not use them. The towels were subpar and had a few holes in them.
Our air conditioning never really kicked in and it was hot.
For location, staff and view I would stay there. Know that other things in the room are not 4 stars."

"At check in the male member of staff was friendly but gave no information about the hotel like breakfast, car park, gym, pool etc.

"We had a lovely relaxing stay at Roots hotel. Everything was immaculate and our room was made up beautifully each day. We loved our room!
