"We stayed at Woodhall hotel and spa for 4 nights in the lodges. There was not much natural light entering the room and noise can be heard from the adjoining room The building could do with some refurbishment The views and gardens are beautiful The staff were really excellent and nothing was too much trouble The food was equally good with some fabulous combinations and flavours and, they have an interesting wine list, if slightly on the pricey side. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you"

"I don’t usually post negative comments but feel on this occasion it’s require based on the room rate. Our room including bathroom was slightly tired and is in need of a refreshment and lacked your normal toiletries for this level of hotel. The mini fridge compressors was very loud and as such led to both nights of poor sleep, not ideal when you book a weekend away to recover. However, the main building was very beautiful and had a nice lounge to relax in the evening."

"Well located and the restaurant was really nice and breakfast lovely. Our king suite was located in the loft and was uncomfortably warm. We mentioed to the staff and they brought up an extra air conditioner. This didn’t help much and was far too noisy to sleep with it, so we didn’t sleep well. It definitely needs it’s own dedicated aircon system. The pool changing area was very tired and in need of some attention."

"6 people stayed in our group. Disappointing that we were charged £25 per couple for early check-in. Even as it was only 30 minutes before normal check in. Reception was not up to speed with our bookings as we had pre-paid for everything but when we checked out they got mixed up and printed bill for full amount. Until we very politely informed them. Also whilst good range of breakfast delights very slow service"

"Hollins Hall has been a great and grand hotel in the past I think. Does it need a revamp? Absolutely! That said, the bed was comfy. It caters for the golfing fraternity mostly it seems. Where Hollins Hall isn't as grand as the name might imply, we do stay there often as it's close to family we visit. In the broad scheme of things it's fine if you need a comfy bed for the night and it's very good value for money. "Had a lovely stay at the Village Hotel. The room was clean, tidy, and very comfortable. The hotel itself was a lovely place to stay with great facilities, including a Starbucks café and restaurant on site. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choice. Overall a great experience and we would definitely stay again!"
