"We booked the superior double, canal-view and en suite room but the staff said that wasn't available when we checked in. The room we were given was a small room (not canal view) with the bathroom down the hall. We had a lot of trouble getting the key to unlock the bathroom, the sink in the room was stopped up and had trouble draining, the hairdryer/outlet didn’t work, and there was no WiFi reaching that room either. Staff said we should email to receive money back on that room but no one has responded (still, several weeks later). On the second night we were moved to a canal view room which was much better and as expected. It was a bit of a faded glory hotel but the location was good and the better room worked out fine (not amazing)"

The location couldn’t be better—perfectly situated near the train station, Old Town, and the lake, making it incredibly convenient for exploring everything the area has to offer while still feeling tucked away and charming. Even with some updates taking place during our stay, the experience was never disrupted—the workers were quiet, respectful, and hardly noticeable. The front desk staff truly stood out. Their recommendations, assistance with bookings, and clear directions were flawless and made navigating the area effortless. They also recommended National Fitness Center for an amazing massage and wellness experience. We had a massage there and also enjoyed the sauna, steam, and freeze room experience—such a treat—and you can purchase a day pass, which makes it very accessible. Overall, this was a wonderful stay, and I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, charm, and an unbeatable location."
