"We arrived very early from an overnight flight and the reception staff were amazing - especially Jerry Qi - who managed to get our room ready by 10am. That started our break in Beijing in a wonderful way.
A manager from Russia called (I think) Sivenia showed us the way to our room and gave us the history of the hotel. She was fantastic. Great service from a wonderful hotel.
Because we were so busy doing tours from first thing in the morning until last thing at night, we didn’t actually manage to use any of the facilities of the hotel, but our room was very very spacious and spotlessly clean.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel - it was simply perfect.
Also, the location of the hotel was perfect - just next to the subway (which was ridiculously low cost and easy to use).
We have traveled the world - this hotel is up there! Stay at this hotel - you will love it!"
"The hotel staff was professional, courteous, and helpful with transport and destination advice. The breakfast buffet offers scrumptious dishes to cater to both Eastern and Western palates. We enjoyed our breakfast during our stay; it gave us a great start to the day and allowed us the flexibility to eat out at local restaurants. And the hotel is within walking distance of a few historical and cultural places, and shopping areas. Just be ready to walk, a lot of walking, which was good and carved up a good appetite for more food."
"Hotel does not have a lobby area. You enter directly to the Restaurant which is located between stores. Feels like a food court in a mall. Rooms are very large which is nice and very comfy. Bathroom spacious and nice. Hallways to the rooms are old and do need tlc and smell funny. Food was not very good to be honest. We ordered room service, a millefeuille as part of the order and we got a funny looking cake with fruits inside (weird)… Breakfast had many options but not very tasty, lots of asian options. Nice selection for kiddos though with Paddington as a theme. Very well located. In short it is a nice hotel, not wow, its run down but ok. If you want wow this is NOT it. Staff is nice but thats it."
"Hotel is in great location, but is getting dated.
Definitely not worth the price asked for the room.
Breakfast was ok, but it’s more for Asian customers, if you expect something like in NY - expect a massive disappointment.
Customer service was poor - definitely not what you expect from Hyatt.
Biggest letdown was how wrong they got everything for my wife’s birthday. Instead of birthday dinner we got a date night package, and when we pointed them at the mistakes nothing was fixed. It’s 2 weeks now that I’m waiting for any response from Hyatt, and hope on receiving any feedback is fading.
Overall, they only have the Hyatt name - and nothing else. No service, no customer care.
No 5 star standards. Only the shiny outside.
Major disappointment.
Stay away"

"Clean room. Lobby was very disorganized, luggage everywhere and the check-in area was not clean, the staff pulled slippers, soap and toothbrush from a box stacked just behind them at check-in and gave them to us in a plastic bag to take to our room, this was very strange and was not what we expected for a hotel classified as 4 stars.
