"So close to the airport that we didn’t need a taxi, which was why we chose it. We walked to it from the car rental return (of note, there’s also a Holiday Inn Express near by and we accidentally started heading in that direction). When dropping off our luggage, additional signs would be helpful as the entrance to the hotel was close to the airport parking and was confusing. Didn’t notice any noise from the airport during the hours that we were there. King bed had an uncomfortable seam but was ok...

"The staff at this lovely restored 18th century building is exceptional. There is a bar inside and a lovely back garden space where we enjoyed the sunshine after a day touring the Paisley Abbey and Sma Shot Cottages nearby. The breakfast we chose (salmon, scrambled eggs and toast) was excellent. Comfy beds, lovely decor and good water pressure in the showers. Also very close to the airport. We picked up sausage rolls and scones from the market on the Saturday morning before our flight."

"Disappointed with the food, it was ok but a bit undercooked, some items missing, and service was a bit slow. The food used to be amazing here, the ingredients still seemed high quality but the preparation and taste wasn't as good as it used to be. The main disappointment was that the rules of the spa have changed and we were unaware we had to book the spa and could only attend at certain times which wouldn't have suited anyway. "We found this a bit of a mixed experience. As we arrived very late, we only noticed the exterior the next morning. The building is clearly a 1960/70s structure, and the concrete architecture is quite stark and not particularly appealing. However, It’s clear the hotel is in the process of being refurbished, with the entrance and hallways already completed to a very high standard—they feel grand and welcoming. "Looking from the outside, it doesn't seem like a hotel. But when I press the doorbell, there are staff to give advice. Very welcoming, easy to check in, go up to the room is very clean, especially the bathroom, worth the price, not far from the city centre, convenient if you rent a car, if you don't have a car."
