"This hotel is located right on the Douro, in a picturesque spot. There's a parking area right outside. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel claims to be four star; it may have been once but it no longer is. The rooms are spartan. A 20" tv from the 2000s. No amenities whatsoever in the bathroom, which had a broken wall shower and between one and three lights randomly working, depending on I know what. I had to move furniture to find the only single wall outlet close to the bed....

Everywhere you looked, there were fantastic views of the Douro River and surrounding hills framed by massive windows. The facilities were amazing. "Amazing accommodation. D’Autor village is a beautiful property composed of several small villas, with a great pool that overlooks the valley. Please is spotless, with great hospitality and very nice staff that is always there to help and answer any questions you may have. Breakfast was plentiful and very good. Property is located in the Vinho verde region so expect some travelling if you’d like to visit the Douro valley."
