"We did the Tateyama Alpine Route from Toyama and decided to stay in Omachi. To get to Omachi there is a bus you can catch after getting off the tunnel electric bus in Ogizawa. We were pleasantly surprised with our room located on the top floor and had our own balcony. We stayed in a traditional Japaneses room which had its own toilet and bathroom. The onsen offered at this hotel is fantastic. Inside and outside onsen with sauna. The staff are helpful. Due to the timing of luggage forward...

"a pleasant surprise! when we checked in, it felt like we were the only guests in the hotel. we found out that it was an extremely quiet season, as can be seen for other nearby hotels and restaurant. We had the whole onsen to ourselves! Since it is in a little town, don't expect many F&B outlets nearby. The host (which happened to be the owner) treated us very well, a big Thank You!!"
