"From the moment we arrived all the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Our room was of a good size, lovely views and very clean.
We had an evening meal in the dining room, which was of excellent quality. The ambience in the restaurant was lovely.
We were not disappointed, in fact Hotel and staff exceeded our expectations.
The grounds, including the country club, it’s worth walking around. The Ashdown Forest is a very beautiful setting , lots of walks."

Dining was a delight. Finally, we enjoyed the estate grounds. The Church of St. Margaret the Queen provided a religious and historical uplift. "This is our go-to lodging when attending the opera at Glyndebourne. A wonderful, country house in Uckfield, set on beautiful, expansive private grounds. Comfortably and exquisitely furnished, it is always a pleasure to arrive and occupy the spacious common rooms and assigned bedrooms. As frequently encountered in England, old properties may lack some modern amenities Americans are used to like air conditioning and convenient USB charging ports. Televisions are dated; rooms do not have clocks....
"Old English Pub and Inn, clean and well kept. The food was great and the rooms clean. We stayed the week and found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. Just what you'd imagine a village Pub should be! So happy to have found The Swan, we'll be back to stay again! "

"Comfortable and stylish hotel in an excellent location near the Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells. Breakfast was very good although it took time to find a member of staff to take our order when we arrived at 7.30am. "
"We had a wonderful stay at Ockenden Manor, the staff are lovely, service in the restaurant is excellent and very friendly. Shout out to the chef, each dish was beautifully presented and so delicious. We enjoyed every course and then took a walk around the gorgeous gardens. Our room (Luke) was spacious, beautifully decorated with views over the gardens and the bed super comfy. Relaxing in the spa and time around the outdoor pool made for a perfect mini break. We hope to return soon! "
