"Beautiful hotel. You are given slippers to wear so you can protect the wood floors and walk quiet. Pool was lovely. I asked the staff to help with a birthday surprise and they rose to the occasion. Airport shuttle limited hours, which was annoying as this was a major reason i chose this hotel. Shuttle starts after 6am, which is unfortunate for those with early flights."

"I had a fantastic 2-night stay at Meliá Chiang Mai. The location is perfect — the night market, massage shops, rooftop bars, and great restaurants are all within walking distance, which made exploring Chiang Mai really easy. As a solo traveler I felt very safe staying here, and it was also very convenient for tours since both of my excursions were able to pick me up directly from the hotel. The food and drinks I ordered were excellent and the service throughout my stay was great. The hotel is definitely on the pricier side, but that’s expected for a 5-star property. I did choose to get massages outside the hotel since they were about 1500 Baht cheaper nearby. Overall, I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Chiang Mai and would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Chiang Mai. "

"Bee, at the front desk, was fabulous. I made a major date error in reserving an elephant sanctuary tour. I discovered this well past time for a pick up. I went to Bee at the front desk, hoping that something might be salvaged. 5 minutes later, VIOLA! Booked, paid. 5 minutes after that we were on our way. Talk about saving the day! It was a great adventure with the elephants and the other folks on the tour. Just an outstanding performance by Bee! Thank you so much."
