"We only stayed one night in Puerto Vallarta before heading to Nuevo Vallarta. The Tropicana was nice, we booked a superior room withe pool view but to our surprise was also a partial ocean view. We did not use the pool since it was raining that evening. We look forward to staying there again for a longer stay in the future since we loved how close the hotel is to the ocean."

"The staff were excellent, and super-patient with our broken Spanish! Everyone was very accommodating with the approaching hurricane. The room was exactly as pictured; very comfortable and clean. The complimentary breakfast and rooftop pool were among the highlights of our trip. The property is so well-maintained and very tranquil. Perfect location for exploring the tourist areas of Vallarta by foot. We will be back!"

"I have been to this hotel several times during past several months . Stay is usually 2 to 4 days . I would call this property a “ Diamond in rough” as it’s not very conspicuous but has all amenities you would want during a vacation with local vibe . Staff is welcoming and wonderful. Small hotel, so you get to know them pretty quickly . My special thanks to Mr Misael at the front desk . Very helpful with good communication . Has been able to do early check in several times ( great when you are tired from travel and it’s mid day hot outside) . Property is clean . Have drinking water available 24/7 ( no need to keep buying plastic water bottles ) . Roof top pool with great view of the bay of Banderas . Has a pool side bar ( bar closes early ) . They puts a water proof room key band around your wrist . So very little chance of loosing / worrying about your keys even if you go the beach, which is across the street . Breakfast is “OK “ but free and convenient . Short walk to Malecon “ City center “ gives you lots of dining options . In short, I will highly recommend this property if you are looking for a clean cozy place with local vibe within a reasonable budget ."

"From the moment we arrived the service was amazing. The attention to detail and accommodation is superb. The price is well worth what you get here. The only learning curve here is learning how to get to certain amenities, like the gym and pool took different elevators. Other than that everything was smooth, we appreciated the housekeepers as well, they are thorough and thoughtful when cleaning the room. A stand out for me was Martha, she knows hospitality and made sure we were taken care of when we had our pool days. If you are like me and need your coffee daily, I like that they provide nespresso pods but the coffee bar on site is amazing, they make a great latte! Would recommend to all my family and friends, and will come back and only stay here."
