Location and parking excellent. Clean comfortable room with all the basics, good value for money and ideal for a short stay and walking into the city. Not so convenient for a longer time as no storage space for clothes

Very friendly staff. Nice big clean room and en suite. Room had everything needed. Could do with net curtains or voils at the windows is my only issue. Would recommend

Very friendly welcome later in the evening than some people might arrive, so that was nice. However, my pillow had been stuffed into a case which was far too narrow for it making it hard and not so comfortable and splitting the case at the seam. One of the bath towels had blood stains on it. Yuk

Great stay would definitely stay again
Seems much better than a 2 star which also a travelodge is in comparison great value for money,comfy bed had a microwave,fridge and a big walk in shower

Clean and basic, no frills.
The Hotel needs some signs outside the premises to show where it is, we drove up and down the road a couple of times to find it. Accommodation was basic, very clean, excellent bathroom. I am under the impression they are currently undergoing some renovation work. The biggest draw back was noise, carrying through the rooms. I could here the tv in the other room and people in the corridor clearly. Parking on site, we had 24 hours so didn’t need to move the car after checking out and could leave it whilst we walked into town centre.

Google hotel before booking
Greated with a building sight. Then told " dont worry, you are staying in the refurbished room over in the other building The room was very poor. No towels, hot water. Could not lock door. Had no windows in room. We left light and tv on all night. More like a rough end bed sit. Electric point was under sink. Hot water taps no plumbed in. Ramp leading to toom, was covered in leaves and vines. Very slippy. When we googled about hotel , made bates motel look like 5 star.

Bit of a fixer upper- but will be incredible!
Booked this room on a whim and at very short notice!. It was cheap and cheerful and we enjoyed our stay. There IS MAJOR renovations going on at the hotel *spread across two buildings)... we received a friendly welcome, and we're escorted to our room on the 2nd site (short walk 2 minutes?) Room was well equipped with fridge, toaster kettle, microwave, TV , fire, and extra heater. The bathroom was spacious and useable. Plug sockets were not located in easily usable places which made charging our gadgets tricky, but not impossible. There were also some safety concerns about positions of plugs UNDER a sink and directly above an electric fire (?), these were mentioned to stay on check out - we didn't use them! All in all basic but good. Would stay again before or after renovations

First impression of the room, looked like a temporary housing bedsit, our first room the shower didn't work, we were given a second room, the bathroom door was hanging off it's hinges, the rooms we were in both looked tired and in need of updating, but i suppose you get what you pay for really

You get what you pay for.
The security man did everything he possibly could to help us and i could not fault him at all. However the room we were originally given was diabolical. It was filthy, there was dirt all up the mirror, marks down the toilet, the shower tray was covered in orange lime scale, there was a rug in the room that looked like a dog had done his business on it and then fallen asleep. The bed was flat as a pancake and only given one pillow for each side. There were cobwebs and cracks all over the wall and various different shades of paint where they had tried to cover things up on the wall. I went down to reception and complained and the man there was so helpful and lovely. I really couldnt fault him and he changed our room immediately. The new room was much better but still had a dirty mirror, cobwebs all over the wall and a shower that doesnt give out hot water. I cant say i would stay here again.

Truly dreadful hotel please avoid at all costs
On arrival I was greeted by a very friendly young lady on reception, she took me over to another building to check into room 108. After numerous attempts to use the key card, to no avail, she went to get the master. This again failed, and I was informed the builders had to climb into the room via the window.... not ideal, especially as I wouldn’t be back til the small hours. The poor girl was now crying, and went to call the manager. She had also told me there were no Other rooms left in the hotel. While she was away, I checked online to see if any other hotels had room, unfortunately absolutely nothing was available city wide. She returned with a key, which eventually we got to work. On entering the room I was amazed at the condition, which was truly appalling, but as i had already become late, and had bought ticket for an event in the city, I had no choice but to stay, although I did cross my mind to sleep in my car...there was no emergency lighting, the emergency instructions where just a photocopy, not the luminous glow in the dark ones required by law. The room was filthy, with loose sockets, no waste bins, including in the bathroom, and no way to lock the window. The front door was broken and open to anyone who wanted to walk in. The toilet had stains on the outside, the bath had a rusty hole in it, and the shower was next to useless. I have honestly seen better squats, please view the pictures I posted, and think twice before you book this hovel. I will want a refund

Room only the size of bed. Enter room sideways as on hinge of approx 35 degrees. Bunk bed climb ladder to get in. Shared bathroom excellent shower. This for me is only suitable if you only want to sleep there. No communal areas.

Quirky, spacious needing a little TLC.
Quirky place, very spacious, everything we needed and cheap. Cleanliness was OK, we had our own entrance which was brilliant. I would STRONGLY recommend getting the upgraded room. Ouf room could command a much higher price if a little money was spent on it. Massive double fridge, large spacious bathroom, plenty of hot water. Bed was large and comfortable and the mattress was clean. Improved heating would be recommended but an extra jumper was enough. Could be a problem in the winter especially in the bathroom were there was no heating. Overall good and we would go back.

It was cheap and the location was good. The wall mounted TV was a good size. The room was windowless, with just room for the bed. No other furniture. Apart from a machine, there are no food/drink facilities. The Bathroom is at the end of the corridor, (hand basin and toilet only). No towels or toiletries are provided.
