"Really loved the hotel. Bedroom is nice and simple. There are a few cracks about and licks of paint needed but otherwise the hotel stands nicely and is a comfortable place to stay. I will say the rooms on the upper floors are warm from the rising heat but the hotel provided a fan which was great. All in all a comfortable stay!"

"We stayed in the small double as we knew we’d be early evening arrival. Reception staff were very cheerful, helpful and explained breakfast time. If you’d rather have your car in their car park definitely phone and do that as on street parking is good if you can get space. Breakfast is buffet style and is very good with continental and full English available. We will stay here again."

"The Helaina was perfect for our stop over in Scarborough. We were warmly welcomed by Jill and shown the cosy sitting room and honesty bar. Our room and bathroom were beautifully clean and the bed was very comfortable. We took advantage of the restaurant recommendations and booked in for breakfast which was good quality and set us up for our day of walking. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again."
