"Great value for money. 3 rooms on 2nd floor and 1st floor is common area with toliet, shower, kitchen, refrigerator.
Traditional Japanese style room. Room is simple with matress, small ground table, A/C. Not much soundproof.
No elevator & need to use stiff stairs. Host seems living in 1st floor. Use key to open/close room.
Place is located on the side of small car road, not inside. Search '清舎' on google map."

"This Kyoto hostel completely overturned my impression of local accommodations being typically cramped. Very clean and comfortable. High-quality beddings.The living room was surprisingly spacious—easily accommodating our big group with over ten large suitcases! Located near Fushimi Inari Shrine and Tofukuji Temple, it was very peaceful at night. We had brought thick bedding, worried that Kyoto might be cold, but the rooms were extremely comfortable. "My wife and I loved our time at this property. It has a very cute garden where we would sit and have tea. We also enjoyed the art display in the living room, which was all made by the host’s mother. The property is in an area away from the city where we could get a taste of everyday life in Japan, so we were delighted every time we walked to and from the train stations. Plus, our host was very helpful and attentive, she assisted us to get our luggage forwarded to our next hotel.
