"This is a hidden gem that I literally stumbled upon. This area is famous for agriculture so the food was sourced locally and amazing. The staff is international so even if you don't speak much Japanese you will be fine. It is peaceful and fun to walk around the area. We even met a young tomato and melon farmer who showed us his greenhouse. It was like staying in a ancient Japanese palace in a very local village. "It was really good experience visiting the Todaya. Right from the moment we arrive, every staff was super nice and extremely helpful! Hotel lobby has free drinks in the afternoon and there are so many selections from tea to juice to wine. The hotel was not busy and we get to go to all the private onsen. Buffet breakfast and dinner has lots of selection from japanese food to western food. Hotel room was large and fit our family of 4 very comfortably."
