"Although the reception, library room and breakfast area were fine this hotel is in need of renovation. We stayed two nights and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Especially Julia on the front desk. Our beds were large and comfortable but the room was dated with taps not working and the toilet hard to flush. Breakfast was adequate. We didnā€™t use the bar but it looked like a Wetherspoons. The hotel is set in nice countryside with quick access to the main road. It could be much better...

"Very clean with friendly helpful staff. However, our room (103) was very tired with broken blinds and to have the window open there was no where to latch it. Had to balance the arm on the outside sill which, as on the ground floor felt very unsafe. The rooms could do with air conditioning as a fan is not adequate in the hot weather we have been having. Good value if you just need a bed for the night."
