Search Ryokan in Nagaizumi

Hotel Suisen was the first ryokan I have stayed in and far exceeded my expectations. The hotel is small and very peaceful, set back from the winding road and just a few minutes walk downhill from the mountain railway station Ohiradai. It is very easily accessible from Tokyo and a Hakone Free Pass covers transport costs as well as the cable car. The staff were very friendly and courteous and provided a comprehensive introduction to the facilities, including the indoor and outdoor thermal baths....

This was the last hotel of our travels around Japan and I am glad we saved it for last. For our family it was perfect and an amazing experience. We stayed in one of the villas which are a short walk from the main building. The villa was really quaint, with its own inside and outside bath. We enjoyed the food experience, as we were staying 2 nights we ate one night in this hotel and the other nigjt we got the shuttle bus to their sister hotel for the all you can eat buffet. The staff were all...

Really lovely hotel with fabulous views. Amazing dinner experiences the two nights we stayed there . Rooms lovely with onsen - I would definitely recommend

A beautiful hotel. We had a large and well appointed bedroom on 6th floor with a balcony overlooking the stunning green landscape with a spring water bath and swing chair. Staff can’t do enough and you feel very well looked after. Nice touches such as free drinks and ice cream. Wonderful onsen and Japanese garden. Very extensive breakfast buffet. It’s a large hotel and was very noisy when we arrived but was quiet and peaceful after that and had a wonderful air of calmness. Get very clear and...

A hotel with breathtaking views and food. Staff are fantastic, hospitable and accommodating. We pre-arranged shuttle collection and food requirements in English and everything went seamlessly. Thank-you Gora Hanaougi

Great hotel! Friendly and helpful staff and we had a comfortable room! We definitely recommended the private onsens as this was the highlight of our stay. There are regular buses available from directly outside the hotel and a few restaurants around as well.

Great. Only problem is transportation. It is difficult to find a taxi and communication is also difficult

We loved our stay at YuYu Onsen hotel. The staff were extremely polite and hospitable. Thoroughly enjoyed the Japanese breakfast experience and recommend you try it. The booking comes with a 50 min private onsen experience which was thoroughly enjoyable in the evening after a busy day of site seeing. The location even though feels remote and away from shops and amenities (we had no car) is served by bus service ( look up the J number buses). They will drop you right in front of YuYu onsen. I...

We had a fantastic stay here! The staff were friendly and attentive (and didn’t mind my poor attempts at Japanese!), the facilities including the Onsen were fantastic. Free drinks on the third floor was a nice surprise, and the dinner was spectacular. Breakfast is traditional Japanese so don’t expect eggs and bacon (think fish and rice), but also super! Room was comfy and clean, the outside bath was brilliant too! Highly recommended!!

After being in Japan for 10days and staying in relatively modern hotels with small rooms, it was delightfully refreshing to be staying in a hotel where room space was more than adequate. Yes, the decor is old fashioned and may appear tired however the surroundings, the staff and the excellent service more than compensate. All staff spoke excellent English and could not do enough to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The "silver" service at breakfast is far above anything I have experienced before...

We had a wonderful stay - the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable, breakfast was amazing and much accommodation was made for my vegan daughter. The private Onsen was perfect - not only well maintained and efficiently run with many toiletries, but also blissfully relaxing. The whole stay was superb and it was a privilege to experience such an amazing Japanese tradition. Thank you

Great place to stay as secluded quiet location was needed after a few days in Tokyo! Lovely Onsen which can be booked out privately! Staff are amazing and will drive you to restaurants/ konbinis so you can relax.

One of the most beautiful ryokans I've been to. The gardens, the pond, the koi - simply stunning. Feels like you've been catapulted back in time. Location is right next to Shuzenji temple & bamboo forest. Staff was increadibly hospitable too with an eye for detail and went the extra mile in taking care of our luggae, car & my mum's rollator storage. Food (especially dinner) was very good too. Lots of small dishes I had never seen arranged like this before, even though I have lived in Japan in...

Stunning hotel, we were so excited to stay here and were not disappointed! Lots of space and it was nice to see a more traditional style room. We had dinner on site which was a great experience, we weren't a fan of the food but it was due to personal taste rather than any fault of the restaurant, the staff were excellent. The Onsen was fantastic, to have one to yourself and relax with your partner was really appreciated. We used the indoor and outdoor onsens and they were both lovely. Location...
