"We booked at Red Roof InnCortland because they were pet friendly. When we got there , they had overbooked and had moved us to their extended stay which was next door. I was anxious because we had our dog with us , but the staff assured us it was no problem. They were helpful with other issues too , calm and “ it’s no problem “. The room was very clean and quiet. And I slept like a log . Very impressed"

"This is a great little cheap motel. This is NOT a fancy establishment. It’s an old motel with pleasantly updated rooms and all the basic amenities for a short stay. The exterior and check in desk area might seem a little sketchy, but the room was plenty safe and clean for the night. The rooms are standard size for a mid century motel. My room had new vinyl flooring to replace the old carpets and fresh paint over the old wood paneling. The bathroom was dated but clean and serviceable. Basic toiletries were provided. Linens were very fresh & clean. Beds were on the very firm side and pillows were fine. The room was clean but the ceiling corners could have use a once over before check in as there were a couple spiderwebs with spiders up in the corners and I’m terrified of spiders….but overall it was pretty obvious that the room had been cleaned and the ceiling corners were just missed. Our stay was in early October and the room was very warm. We didn’t need to use the AC and just opened the window to cool it down. Overall the location is convenient and though very basic, this motel is a great cheap option for a quick stay- our stay was under about on par with Econo Lodge or Kings Inn for cost and this place was cleaner and the staff friendlier than any Econo Lodge or Kings Inn I have ever had to stay at!"

"This was an excellent stay! It was a surprising little hideaway in what I consider to be a remote place. It’s not The Four Seasons, but it is clean, safe, quiet, offering all of the things that one needs for a comfortable stay. The only thing in the room that didn’t work was the actual phone, which, if you have a cell phone, is really not a deal at all. Pretty comfortable bed, nice spacious bathroom, ample parking, and wonderful staff! Bob was so great and very helpful! And, I was so very happy that food delivery service services actively work in the area and Fred’s Inn is down the street from a pretty substantial shopping center. If you have to stay in Norwich New York, I do very much recommend Fred’s Inn."
