"The river views are spectacular and it’s worth it booking the river view rooms. The hotel is historic and like stepping back in time to the basics, in the most charming way. FYI - AC in the rooms, third floor was warm during our stay. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly in French and English. The grounds were beautifully maintained with beautiful gardens, and everything inside and out was extremely clean. Loved our stay. Worth the long drive from Ontario."

"Tadoussac is not a luxury destination it’s one you head to for nature, wildlife, and history. The area very much lacks a nightlife or eateries open past 8pm. The hotels, like this one, are charming but dated, comfortable and quiet. We selected this hotel because of its proximity to the ferry (walking distance) and trails to our touring destinations. Very expensive for what you are getting."
Motel de l'Anse à l'Eau

"L’Anse a l’eau is somewhat dated but very well- maintained. Rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. It is located very close to where the ferry line-up is located. I suspect the upper rooms backing on the highway may be noisy, although, that said, Tadoussac Main Street is very noisy during the tourist season. No breakfast service so you must walk (15 mins) to a restaurant open for breakfast. There is a Take-out Boulangerie across from the motel which is usually open from 0700 to 1700, (closed Tuesdays) that offers a good selection including coffee, tea and other beverages. (Boulangerie a l’emportée coop)."
