"Four years ago, we stayed at the Hotel Les Grands Montets as part of our Tour du Mont Blanc ten-day trek. We had two nights there as we prepared for our last two legs of hiking on our trek. Unfortunately, poor weather did not permit us to take the preferred route to the Lac Blanc -- wind and precipitation made that leg too dangerous. We did an alternate route. We decided to complete the Lac Blanc section one day. This year, we completed that leg of the trip under excellent weather...

"Het was een top verblijf. Martigny is compact en sfeervol. Gastheer van het verblijf is uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Prachtige vergezichten. Heerlijk geslapen en de kerkklok is stil tussen 23.00-7.00 uur. Tip voor als je in Martigny verblijft, ga met de Mont Blanc Express naar Chatelard VS en neem de Verti Alp naar lacD'Emosson."

"nice location near the train station, the lake, shops and restaurants. HOWEVER, the contruction of the hotel is really sensitive to sound so I got really distracted by the neighbours rudely smashing things really loudly, and nostop since early 6-8am."
