"The view was beautiful. The rooms were clean. It’s just the staff that needed help. They seemed very disorganized. When we checked out, we took the ferry. They explained they would deliver our bags for us. Which they did, but they were marked for St Ignes and not our actual destination- Mackinac city. My husband and I both were very clear on Mackinac city as they asked twice. But they still sent them to the wrong destination. One of the bags that they delivered they tied so tight with a knot that it ruined the bag. I couldn’t get it open my husband and I tried everything and had to cut the bag open. We stayed for two nights. We got a knock on the door on the first day and they’d ask what our name was because we weren’t even registered to the room. Yet we had checked in… And then also we had opened the windows for fresh air, and as we opened them, the screen fell out of the window. We were on the fourth floor with two children. This to us was very concerning. The views are beautiful. You can smell how fresh the carpet is as it was just remodeled. All that part of the stay was great. Again the staff is just very disorganized."
"The two queen bed room with the water view was big for 3 of us.
However, it was very noisy starting 6 AM with people walking amd talking loud in the hallway. Also, the elevator was not working for two days.
They gave us $30 gift card which was nice. Get a room on 4th floor."
"The property was absolutely beautiful and we will be back to the island. The one thing that I would say to keep in mind that you have to pay for a shuttle to town and back or to go off the property, which is a very long walk if you don't take the shuttle. This was slightly inconvenient as the fare each way does add up."
"If you need a place to lay your head…not too terrible. Theres a Walmart, a cute coffee shop and good restaurants. But if you’re looking for quality, cleanliness or the feeling of privacy, it’s not great. Staff was helpful though. "
"Room interior was nicely renovated but bathroom needs updating. Pool and hot tub area not connected so have to walk outside to get there. Pool building needs some work and the pool/hot tub needed to be cleaned. Fire pits and smores on the beach were a wonderful surprise. The staff was great and very friendly."
