"Very clean which you notice as soon as you approach the front door. Neat and tidy garden approach. You are made to feel very welcome at the reception check in. The room was very comfortable clean and tidy. A great freshly cooked breakfast is prepared for you in the morning. What more could you wish for."

"We stayed at Woodhall hotel and spa for 4 nights in the lodges.
There was not much natural light entering the room and noise can be heard from the adjoining room
The building could do with some refurbishment
The views and gardens are beautiful
The staff were really excellent and nothing was too much trouble
The food was equally good with some fabulous combinations and flavours and, they have an interesting wine list, if slightly on the pricey side.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you"

"Hollins Hall has been a great and grand hotel in the past I think. Does it need a revamp? Absolutely! That said, the bed was comfy. It caters for the golfing fraternity mostly it seems. Where Hollins Hall isn't as grand as the name might imply, we do stay there often as it's close to family we visit. "Hotel was in a good position for going into Ripon or Harrogate.
We stayed here to attend a race meeting.
Rooms very clean,comfortable & tea, coffee with biscuits, nice touch.
Evening meal & breakfast excellent.
Staff friendly, polite & attentive.

"Enjoyed the stay but it was noisy trying to get to sleep in the cottage room and I’m curious as to why there were only 9 loungers in the spa but there are 60 bedrooms ? I had to sit on a chair .. not really the spa experience I was looking for.
Also another gripe of mine is no full length mirrors in bedrooms ? And no table near a mirror to sit and dry hair and do makeup ? It’s the little things that make all the difference."

"6 people stayed in our group. Disappointing that we were charged £25 per couple for early check-in. Even as it was only 30 minutes before normal check in. Reception was not up to speed with our bookings as we had pre-paid for everything but when we checked out they got mixed up and printed bill for full amount. Until we very politely informed them. Also whilst good range of breakfast delights very slow service"

"Had to wait nearly 30 minutes before they could get any key card to work
Was only on the fourth room I managed to get in
Not what you want at 1am when you've driven all day and need sleep before your next drive
No compensation, no apology, just a shrug of the shoulders from staff, that clearly had seen this happen before
Didn't even get a free cup of coffee next morning"
