"Our family travelled around Ireland and London for 2 weeks and stayed at 9 different hotels and this was the best hotel we stayed at even though it was the least expensive. The newly remodeled rooms are beautiful and spacious. The staff was very friendly and it was within walking distance of the Bunratty castle and other restaurants. "I never had of Newcastle West before, but if you are ever in this town, this is the place to be. My wife considered the breakfast "the best Irish breakfast in Ireland," and who am I to disagree? We truly enjoyed our stay (and the breakfast) as well the friendly staff including (especially Derek the manager). We need disability-friendly accommodations, and this hotel, in this regard, was a great place to stay. The true test of any hotel, is "Would you go back?," and we would gladly come back...

"Great location adjacent to beach park and historic castle. Pub vibe was great- lots of folks having dinner after day of golf or tourist like us. Good restaurant for dinner. Also a very good breakfast served to hotel guests in morning. Room was surprisingly well updated and modern with comfortable furnishings. Good WiFi. No private parking, but we were fortunate to arrive at 3:45pm (pub and check-in opens at 4pm) and there were only a few spots left on street. May have been a challenge if we...
